If you want to control who sees a calendar, you can secure a category within a calendar app. Category security in the Calendar application works in a similar way to Folder security in Appbuilder applications.
Category security for each application is done at the category level and applies to all content residing within the category. Determine which users and/or groups will have access to the following functions:
For this example, we will restrict viewing permissions.
To restrict view access to the calendar, do the following:
- In the Calendar application, click Toolbox > Apply Permissions
- Select a category
- Uncheck Global View. Click Save. Now only administrators, site or app owners have view access to the Calendar.
- If you want any other users to have access to the Calendar, assign User Permissions or Group Permissions
