How do I use Chat?

Within the Intranet, you are able to use the live chat feature to open up a communication channel with one of your colleagues. This is one of the social elements available within the Employee Directory.

To open up a chat with a colleague, navigate to the Employee Directory and search for the employee you are looking to chat with. On their Employee Card, you will see the icons as shown in the screenshot below:


In the above example, Johnny is online as shown by the icon outlined. If you click on this icon, it will open a chat box with Johnny that looks like this:chatbox.png

This chat box is a one-to-one chat communication between you and another employee that will appear on any window or tab that your Intranet is open on. It is not possible to add additional people to your conversation, or to start up group chats with this function.
