How do I add security to my blog?

Permission Types

Members can be assigned to your blog at any time.  Membership provides elevated access to your blog:

Admin

 

member acts as blog-owner & has full rights

Read

 

applicable if blog is private

Contribute

 

member can add posts

Edit Postings

 

member can edit all posts

Comment

 

member can add comments

 

Member Management

Adding members is simple.  Select “Blog Members” and the link for “Add Members”.  Select one or more users and their permissions.  You can edit or remove members and permissions by selecting the edit or delete icon.

If the blog has members, a member box will appear in the box elements on the right.  The following snap shows what the blog will look like prior to adding any posts

Note: Members assigned as “admin” have full access to content within the blog including the rights to approve postings and comments.  Admin members do NOT have access to the “Settings tab”.Members which are assigned to your Blog are chosen from the Employee Directory. Any changes made via the Employee Directory will be reflected on that Members Profile (name, photo etc.)
