Impersonating Other Users
How the home page is displayed can be different when viewing as an administrator versus a normal user. Normal users will not see menu items which point to areas of the intranet they do not have access to, nor will they see the edit pencil icons on widget or the admin link.
You can use user impersonation to view the intranet as a normal user, without having to ask for their password. To start impersonation, on the admin screen, choose the Security tab and choose Impersonate a Login.
When in impersonation mode, you will see the banner below displayed at the top of your screen. Click the red X to end impersonation.
- Impersonation is only available to super administrators
- While impersonating a login, all actions you take will be logged as if they were taken by the user themselves
