How Intranet Content Is Organized (4 of 6)

Widgets

The dynamic elements on a widget page are called widgets. Using the page designer, you add widgets to a home page.

The most commonly used widgets are:

  • What's New Widget
Displays content from across all applications which use advertising to promote items. Items are displayed or hidden based on their advertise on date and advertising archive date.
  • Application Feed Widget
Displays the most recent content added to one or more applications of similar type. Items are displayed based on their published date, which can be set in the future.
  • Message Box Widget
Displays HTML content added using the WYSIWYG editor.
  • Menu Widget
Displays a list of links to various places both inside and outside the intranet.
