Our 16.0 release improves integration with customer cloud environments. Now, your cloud intranet users can conveniently log in using single sign-on from Entra ID, Okta and Duo. All employee information required for that can be pulled from Microsoft Entra ID (formerly known as Azure Active Directory).
On top of that, the look and feel of the login screen itself has been improved for a more user-friendly, simpler, and overall, more readable experience on a variety of devices.
Along with pulling the employee details from the cloud, you can now automatically create calendar items on the intranet from events in a company’s shared calendar. These items will show up in your calendar widgets and the Events Calendar application as well.
Please note these key points below that will allow for a seamless update to Version 16.0:
- You must have Azure for all the features to sync with cloud user data (e.g. pulling intranet user info, and calendar items).
- It is a one-way synchronization from your Office 365 calendar (through Microsoft Graph) to the Events Calendar application within the intranet (cloud environment).
- At this moment the calendar sync update is working with Microsoft Office Calendars only. Google Calendar sync is not currently supported.

Prerequisites and Considerations
It is not recommended to sync your personal calendar it is recommended to sync a designated user's shared calendar.
Each calendar that you want to sync to your Intranet must have an associated user created for the purpose of housing the calendar. The reason for this, is because we can only sync a user's "Default" calendar. Not a "Group" calendar.
So we must create user's for the calendars we want to have synced to our Intranet.
For example: If you want to have a marketing calendar, you would create a user in Microsoft Entra ID and call it for example "MarketingCalendarUser". Then you can log in as this user and create events. You can share this user's calendar to other people in your organization who will want to have the ability to share events to this calendar.
Events Calendar > App Admin > Content > Sync Events From Office365 Calendar
