When you encounter errors on the intranet, logs can provide additional information for troubleshooting.
Access the logs in the Intranet by going to Admin > Errors & Logging on the Setup tab. In the Errors & Logging menu you can change some settings regarding errors such as if you would like only a generic error message to be displayed to users when an error occurs and changing the log level. Changing the log level will have an effect on how much information is captured in the log files.
If you don't have access to the intranet, you can locate the logs on the web server itself, in one of the following locations as applicable for your version:
Version 14.0+
New Install:
- All *.log files in C:\sqbox\webroot\Intranet\WEB-INF\lucee\logs or C:\sqbox\webroot\WEB-INF\lucee\logs
- All *.log files in directory C:\sqbox\webroot\coldbox\logs
Upgrade from 13.0/13.5 to 14.0:
- All *.log files in C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\Intranet\WEB-INF\lucee\logs or C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\WEB-INF\lucee\logs
- All *.log files in directory C:\inetpub\wwwroot\coldbox\logs
If you're encountering issues with displaying Stats in this version, please provide the recent Databridge *.log file in C:\inetpub\wwwroot\TaskManager\Logs
Version 13.5 - Lucee 4 Tomcat
- All *.log files in C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\Intranet\WEB-INF\lucee\logs or C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\WEB-INF\lucee\logs
- All *.log files in directory C:\inetpub\wwwroot\coldbox\logs
Version 13.0 - Railo 4 Tomcat
- All *.log files in C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\Intranet\WEB-INF\railo\logs or C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\WEB-INF\railo\logs
- All *.log files in directory C:\inetpub\wwwroot\coldbox\logs
Version 12.0 and 12.5 - Railo
- Depending on how you access your site, your log files could be located in either C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\Intranet\WEB-INF\railo\logs or C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\WEB-INF\railo\logs
Version 12.5 and earlier - ColdFusion
- All *.log files in directory:
- CF 10 C:\ColdFusion10\cfusion\logs
- CF 9: C:\ColdFusion9\logs
- CF 8: C:\ColdFusion8\logs
